SEND and Inclusion
At Liberty Primary School, we are proud to be an inclusive school where every child is supported to belong, achieve and thrive.
We recognise that children learn and develop in different ways, and some may require additional support during their time at school. We are committed to identifying children's needs early, removing barriers to learning and ensuring that all pupils can participate fully in school life.
How We Support Children with SEND
High-quality, adaptive teaching is at the heart of our approach. Class teachers are responsible for the learning and progress of all children, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
We follow the Assess, Plan, Do, Review graduated approach to identify needs, plan appropriate support, evaluate progress and make adjustments where necessary.
Support may include:
- Adaptations to classroom teaching, resources and the learning environment.
- Targeted individual or small-group interventions.
- Personalised learning for children working at an earlier developmental stage.
- Support for communication, emotional wellbeing and sensory regulation.
- Specialist advice and support from external professionals.
We work closely with parents and carers to review children's progress and agree the most appropriate next steps.
Our Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP)
Liberty also has a specialist Additionally Resourced Provision for children with autism and communication needs.
Our ARP provides adapted teaching and specialist support while promoting opportunities for children to participate in wider school life.

If you have concerns about your child's learning or development, please speak to their class teacher in the first instance.
